Effective Reading

I've been a avid reader for years and each time the love for books keeps growing. I have not restricted my self to any particular genre as each genre or theme has its own special offering.
There is a sense of pleasure in browsing titles related to management, psychology  self-help, cookery, classics, and so on. This only adds value to my profession as a technical writer which calls in for sleek writing skills topped with creativity. Some of my favorites from the book shelves are as follows :

Technical Writing
  • Handbook of Technical Writing - Gerald. Alfred
  • Power Tools for Technical Communication - David A. McMurray
  • Technical Writing in the Corporate World - Herman Estrin (Author)
  • Chicago Manual of Style
  • MSTP
Self - Help books:
  • Tuesdays with Morrie - Mitch Albom
  • 5 people you meet in heaven - Mitch Albom
  • 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Stephen Covey
  • Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki (great for understanding the balance sheet of life!)
  • The Professional - Subroto Bagchi
Novels
  • Da Vinci Code - Robert Langdon
  • Classical Short Stories
  • Adventures of Tom Sawyer
  • Animal Farm - George Oswell
  • Pride & Predujice - Jane Austen
  • The Gift of Magi - O.Henry
  • Merchant of Venice - William Shakespeare
Happy Reading!
